Did the boy spend 200 dollars in taking you out on the town and romancing you with flowers and chocolate? Are you feeling bad that he spent so much? Does the rationalization "We aren't really dating or we haven't been dating very long," pop into your head as you are munching on macaroons and staring at an 80 dollar vase of red roses?
Hold it right there. Quit feeling bad and start recognizing that you deserve every dollar that was spent. If that's not enough then think of it this way:
1. You do not tell a boy "YOU MUST SPEND 150 DOLLARS ON ME FOR VDAY IF YOU WANT A BJ AT THE END OF THE NIGHT."
Sure, maybe spending a little extra could help a guy get something in return but at the end of the day you do not force a boy to spend any certain amount on you and therefore it is his choice, his pleasure, to spend x amount of dollars on you.
2. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CHART OF FINANCIAL EQUIVALENCE TO LOOK UP FOR A DATE.
You Do Not Owe Anyone Anything For Treating You Like The Lady You ARE!
If you still feel bad...
3. The boy definitely wants in your pants and has probably had numerous indecent thoughts about you otherwise why on earth why would he be taking you out and pursuing you?
Indecent Though x(200) + Vday (or any other date) = 200 dollars
Really, the math, or lack there of is quite simple.
Just enjoy it for what it is, a date.
Don't over think the expenses.
